We are searching for a compassionate and dedicated Carer to join our growing team as a Domestic Assistant with myHomecare in Perth Upper-North.

As a Domestic Assistant, you will:
- Help our clients with a variety of daily domestic, social, respite and personal care services
You’ll work with autonomy, patience and empathy to provide essential domestic care services in accordance with your clients’ care plans. You’ll build a genuine connection with your clients through:
- Social support: Taking clients on outings to the shops, the bank, a café or, out for a walk
- Transport: Taking clients to appointments or respite
- Food preparation
- Respite care: Assisting with exercising, dressing, toileting, and supervising the self-administration of medication
- Domestic Assistance: Dusting, vacuuming, mopping, emptying garbage, washing dishes, laundry, and assisting around the garden
- Personal care: Showering and assisting with other personal grooming

As a Care Worker, you’ll work one-on-one with your client, while reporting regularly to your Manager for support and guidance. Your routine may not always go as planned, but you’ll navigate the day with the wellbeing of your clients at the forefront of your mind.

You’ll use your initiative and time-management skills to adapt to the needs of our clients – with safety always front of mind. You’ll be proactive and work hard to foresee our clients’ requirements, and take action to address these as promptly as possible. And along the way, we’ll support you to develop your knowledge and practical skills through our in-person and online training programs.
Reliable
As a Care Worker, you’ll be dependable and always work with respect and integrity. It’s the level of service our clients expect. No matter whether you’re transporting a client to an appointment, helping them with personal banking, you’ll treat clients like your own family.
Empathy
This role goes deeper than cleaning, shopping and food preparation; you’ll build a real connection with a person who relies on you to enjoy life. You’ll be welcomed into your clients’ homes and lives, and gently support them with personal care such as showering, grooming and dressing. Each act of care you complete helps our clients to continue to live with dignity.
To join us, you’ll need:
- A current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID003/4) and current CPR certificate (HLTAID001)
- The right to work in Australia
- A current driver licence and access to your own car with comprehensive car insurance
- National Police Clearance
- Working with Children Clearance (as per state regulations)
- Experience working in the aged or disability care sectors is desirable
